21 teams set for Kohima district volleyball tournament

Dimapur, November 3: Altogether 21 teams- 16 men’s and five women’s teams will participate in 4th Kohima district volleyball tournament scheduled for November 7 and 8 at local ground, Kohima under the theme “Transcending through sports”. The event is organised by Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA). The men’s team are from Group- A are- defending champions Kiruphema Youth Organization (KYO),Apex Club Kezo town, Kuthotsu Club Khonoma and Kiruphema Students Union (KSU). From Group- B- Phetsukikou Club Khonoma,Tama Youth Society Mima, Shurho Mountain Club and Phezoucha Boys Club Kohima.From Group-C- last year runner-up Prancers Club Phesama, Kezieke Youth Organization, Chalieutsu United Boys Khonoma and Titan Club Nerhema. From group- D- Super Spikers Club Kohima, Daklane Youth Social Organization, Mima Youth Organization and Zenith Club Kezo Town. The women’s team are Tiema-Khe Kidima, Zheri Youth Society, Fusion Club Kezieke, Phetsukikou Club Khonoma and Mystics Club Naga Hospital Colony. Meanwhile, a mass social work will be held on November 6 at starting 10.00 am at local ground, Kohima. All the members of various committees for the tournament and KDVA members are requested to attend the social work, a press release informed.
