Mokokchung, July 13: A total of 21 ILP defaulters were arrested by the combined team of Mokokchung Administration and Mokokchung police on July 12 while conducting Inner Line Permit (ILP) checking under Mokokchung Municipality.
The twenty one ILP defaulters were booked under Non-FIR case no. 07/16 U/S 3 BEFR at Mokokchung Police station I and later forwarded to the court today.
The ILP checking was executed under the directive of the Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner.Recently, the Mokokchung police have arrested 11 defaulters who came to trade their goods at the Weekly bazaar. After the arrest of 11 traders who were able to sneak into the Mokokchung town without possessing ILP, the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) and the Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industries (MCCI) have also served representation to the Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner to seek corrective measures to redress the problems in the Inner Line Permit (ILP) matter.
