Dimapur, March 23 (EMN): With an aim to discover the potential of young sportspersons and nurture them, the first edition of Super Six Night Cricket Tournament, organised by Hands of Change (HoC) will be held at Chumoukedima from March 28 to the 30th.
Jeni, convenor, informed that the champion would receive a cash prize of INR 20,000 with running trophy and citation, while the runner-up will receive INR 10,000 with citation. The individual awards include -- player of the tournament, best bowler, best batsman and emerging player -- along with cash prizes and citations.
He further stated that HoC is trying to create an impact on the upcoming young generation of cricket lovers. ‘With the help of district administration, we will try to give chances to a few good players for an opportunity in a good level of tennis ball cricket’, he added.
Abhinav Shivam, DC Chumoukedima, Rabinderjit S Panesar and Angtang Tisso, deputy secretary of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council will be the guest of honour, special guest and special invitee of the opening ceremony.
