Players showcase talent at 1st PDFA Women’s Cup 2025 in Jalukie Town, highlighting growing enthusiasm for women’s football.

DIMAPUR — The inaugural edition of the Peren District Football Association (PDFA) Women’s Cup 2025 witnessed dominant performances on Friday as four teams stormed into the semifinals at the astro turf ground in Jalukie Town.
A press release from the organisers stated that Jalukie Town Gunners FC, Heningkunglwa Youth Organisation, Broiler FC Mhainamtsi and Jalukie Town Galacticos FC registered victories in their respective fixtures to book semifinal berths.
In the opening match, Jalukie Town Gunners thrashed Hingho FC 12–0. Thujovetsolu Vese netted five goals (7’, 9’, 14’, 21’, 27’), Charakungliu struck four (6’, 10’, 17’, 19’), Heidangbuile added two (22’, 32’), while Nciepzeule chipped in one (30’).

Heningkunglwa Youth Organisation secured a hard-fought 1–0 win over Mpai FC with Isidaule scoring the solitary goal in the 13th minute.
In another close contest, Broiler FC Mhainamtsi edged past Tening Sub-Division 1–0, courtesy of Kimbun’s decisive strike in the 18th minute.
The day concluded with an all-Jalukie clash as Jalukie Town Galacticos FC blanked Jalukie Town Liangmai FC 5–0. Lunglung opened the scoring in the 1st minute, Kungni netted a hat-trick (3’, 45’, 46’), and Samlam added one in the 21st minute.
The semifinals will be played on Saturday morning, followed by the final and closing ceremony in the evening.

Jalukie Town Gunners vs Broiler FC – 7 am
Jalukie Town Galacticos vs Heningkunglwa YO – 8.30 am
