1st Nagaland Songwriting Contest on September 10

The 1st Nagaland Songwriting Contest 2016 organized by the DKs Entertainment Group under the theme, “Tapping the Untapped Talents” will be held at Green Park, 4th Mile Dimapur, on September 10 from 10:00am onwards. The programme is being organized with an objective to identify and promote the young talented songwriters of the state with free registration so that the under privileged could also actively participate in the competition. It is also targeted to be an annual event and celebrate as Songwriter’s Day in Nagaland. The winners will be awarded as First prize Rs. 10000, second prize Rs. 5000, third prize Rs. 3000 and two commendations of Rs. 1000 each. The song title will be given on the spot. The copyright of the song remains with the writer. According to the release, the last date of entry is 30th August.
