Phuloni Press Club win 1st Inter Press Club T-10 Cricket Tournament

As a part of the 5th Foundation Day of District Press Club of Karbi Anglong (DPCKA), the 1st Inter Press Club T-10 Cricket Tournament-2023 was organised and played at SAI Stadium, 5th-mile Diphu-Manja road from February 6.

The final match was played between DPCKA (Senior) and Phuloni Press Club on Wednesday. DPCKA won the toss and elected to bat first and set a target of 128 runs. Chasing the target, Phuloni Press Club scored 131 and won the final match by 8 wickets.

The man of the match was awarded to Jackson Kro of Phuloni Press Club while man of the series was awarded to Waisong Terang of DPCKA.

A total of eight press clubs of Karbi Anglong took part in the event. The final match umpires were Osni Bey and Jintu Saikia.

During the prize distribution programme, senior journalist and Editor of Thekar, Karbi daily vernacular Longsing Teron gave away the prizes to the winner. Senior journalists Sanju Bora, Kangbura Senar, Kamrul Khan, and others attended the programme.
