The 10th Imchaba Master Memorial Nagaland Open Volleyball Trophy is schedule to be held from September 22 to 25 at Multi Sports Complex, Mokokchung.
Altogether 18 (eighteen) teams will be competing for the trophy during the tournament. The teams include Sporting Club, Mangkolemba, Longsa Sports Association, Striking Tenth 10th NAP (IRC) BN, Adventure Club, Changtongya, Lakhuni Sporting Club, Evergreen Club Ungma, Friends United Club Chakpa, Sporting Club Tuli, Lenjet Club Changtongya, Young Stallion N.P Colony, Zunheboto, Likhum Sporting Club Lonjemdang, Tongden Club Chungtia B, Leeri Club Mokokchung, Citizen Club Longsa ‘A’, Citizen Club Longsa ‘B’, Young Star Sporting Club Unger, Tongden club Chungtia ‘A’, and Dolphin Club Mekuli.
The winner will walk away with a cash of Rs.70, 000/- (along with a running trophy), runners-up will be awarded with Rs.45, 000/-, third prize Rs.30, 000/-, fourth prize Rs.20, 000/- besides individual awards for best spiker, best setter and player of the tournament.The organizer (MDVA) will also give Rs.5000/- each to all participating teams as grant except for the final four and minimum traveling allowance to those teams from outside the district.
Parliamentary Secretary, Youth Resources & Sports, Khriehu Liezietsu will grace the closing programme as the Chief Guest while Executive Engineer (NH) Mokokchung Division, Chubatoshi will grace the inaugural function as the Chief guest.
