Tsumang FC won on penalties while Nitsuyan FC thrashed Flamingo FC to reach the semi-finals of the 15th Lotha Football Championship 2026 in Wokha.

WOKHA — Tsumang FC advanced to the semi-finals of the 15th Lotha Football Championship 2026 after a dramatic penalty shootout win over Friends Club, while Nitsuyan FC sealed their place in the last four with a resounding 7–1 victory over Flamingo FC in the second quarter-final on Wednesday.
In the first quarter-final, played at Wokha, Friends Club made a dominant start and took control of the match in the first half. Joel Haokip opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, followed by Saronbemo three minutes later to give Friends Club a 2–0 lead. Renjamo Murry further extended the advantage in the 47th minute, putting Friends Club 3–0 ahead.
Tsumang FC mounted a late fightback. Sulanthung reduced the deficit in the 46th minute, and Ephyothung Odyuo pulled one back in the 70th. In stoppage time (93’), Ephyothung scored again to level the scores at 3–3 and force extra time.

With neither side finding a winner in the additional period, the match went to penalties, where Tsumang FC prevailed after their goalkeeper made a decisive save.
In the second quarter-final, Nitsuyan FC delivered a commanding performance to defeat Flamingo FC 7–1 and book their semi-final berth. Nitova scored Flamingo’s only goal in the 77th minute, but Nitsuyan dominated proceedings.
Yiben Ezung led the charge with four goals, while Ayenmongba added a brace and Yhoto Lohe contributed one to complete the rout.
The remaining quarter-final matches are scheduled for February 5. Nyiro Range FC will take on Old Changsu FC in the first fixture, followed by Yon Sporting Club against Airfield Colony FC.
The first quarter-final match was graced by Pyingthungo Ezung, Member of the Wokha Town Council and Vice President of the NPF Wokha Division, who attended as match patron.
