Dimapur, Jan. 3: 15 Assam Rifles conducted a free medical camp on December 28 at Yakur village, Tuensang district and also assisted Shamatore villagers in developmental works.
With the aim to provide free medical treatment to the local populace where requisite medical facilities were not available, medical team from 15 AR treated a total of 229 patients and provided medicines.

The troops also provided assistance to Shamatore village authorities for levelling the village football ground and extension of the approach road at Shamatore village. The battalion undertook the work with own resources and completed the project within two days. 15 Assam Rifles dedicated the ground and approach road as a Christmas and New Year gift for the local people of the Shamatore village on December 29. Village chairman, GB and council secretary conveyed heartfelt gratitude to 15 Assam Rifles for undertaking and early completion of the work.
