WOKHA — A tragic incident occurred at Mount Tiyi College in Wokha on Saturday (June 14), where the body of a 14-year-old boy was discovered near the college’s basketball court area.

According to sources, the boy had been missing since the night of June 14. His body was reportedly found around 12 noon on June 15 by passersby and was later identified by his mother, who is said to have been the first to recover the body. The matter was formally reported to the police at approximately 2.43 pm.

Authorities stated that the deceased was found hanging inside an old, unused college bus located on the institution’s premises. Following an initial investigation, no signs of foul play were detected.

In accordance with the wishes of the deceased’s family, particularly the mother, the body was released to the family, and the case has been closed.
