Dimapur, Feb. 24 (EMN): Around 130 persons in Nagaland tested positive for HIV out of 6,028 clients under the Nagaland State Aids Control Society (Nsacs) in 2021.
Data from the Chief Minister’s dashboard revealed that Dimapur district had the highest HIV positive cases with 70 out of 1,245 clients tested.
Three districts -- Phek, Kiphire and Longleng -- had 379, 308 and 203 clients tested respectively, with zero persons testing positive for HIV.
Kohima also witnessed high HIV positive cases where out of 839 clients, 22 tested positive in Kohima while in Tuensang, 21 out of 587 tested HIV positive.
In Mokokchung district, five clients tested positive out of 765, four tested positive from Mon district out of 602 clients, and two out of 209 clients tested positive from Peren.
Wokha and Zunheboto district had three clients each testing positive for HIV out of 442 and 449 respectively.
