12 bands including Tune up channel, Pay the rent, Trans effect, Yellow beacon, Since 90’s, Plan P, Dynamic Cardioid, DK Entertainment, Distinct Theory, and Happy feet have been shortlisted to compete at the State level band competition which will be held under the theme “Life Now, Yes Life, No HIV.” Apart from these top 10 bands, two other bands namely Naga Incarnate and Fifth Note were shortlisted to perform as wild card entry, making it a total of 12 bands.
The 12 bands were selected out of 18 bands who submitted their original songs based on HIV and AIDS or drug abuse, and will compete for the NSACS Multi Media Campaign scheduled for Dec. 1 at The Heritage, Old DC Bungalow, Kohima.
In a press note issued by the organisers, it informed that the selected bands will have to perform two songs each during the state level competition- one cover song of their choice and the original song previously submitted.
The bands are also informed to report at the competition venue by 4:00 pm on Nov. 30 for briefing and dinner.
