Dimapur, April 22 (EMN): Mount Mary College Chumukedima held 4th Graduation Day on April 22 at the College Hall, with Brigadier Rajiv Kumar, 3 Corp, Rangapahar as chief guest. A total of 112 students graduated from the college.
The program started with the processional march led by the dignitaries, teaching faculties and the graduating students. Imlikumla administrator of the college conveyed greetings on behalf of the college while Tokali, assistant professor exhorted the graduating students.
The chief guest in his speech challenged the graduating students to grab the opportunity.
He pointed out that by 2020, India is going to be the youngest nation with a national average age of 29 years and for them 49 million job is going to crop up for those who all equipped with the needed knowledge. Therefore, he urged the graduating students to be the brand ambassadors for India.
He imbibed the students to have the three qualities of knowledge, skill and attitude to succeed and be an asset to the nation. He further congratulated the parents and guardians of the students for being the backbone and for the support.
The valediction speech was given by graduating student Menangnochet (Economics Honors).
Col. Vishnu Sigrkar, Col. M.K Rana, parents, guardians and well attended the programme..
Asha Cheng, assistant professor chaired the program while Nungshiyanger, the front man of ‘Dimention 5’ presented songs.
Special awards were presented to Chandan Mech for overall performance, B. Yungpung for best in academic and Lipoknaro for student of the batch.
