A Panjung Jamir and ADC Tuli Relise Sangtam at the inaugural
programme of the 10th edition of the Tuli Marathon and Inter-Ward Open
Volleyball Tournament at Tuli, Mokokchung, on Tuesday.
- DIMAPUR — The
10th edition of the Tuli Marathon and Inter-Ward Open Volleyball Tournament was
organised by the Tuli sub-division administration on Tuesday in Mokokchung.
- The open marathon was participated in by all age groups,
with the youngest being 9 years old, stated a DIPR report.
- The winners of the Tuli Marathon were as follows: in the
male category, Chuchangmeren Ao bagged the first prize, followed by Taliyanger
and Sonu Rajbhar as the first and second runners-up.
- In the female category, Songmo P bagged the first position,
while Tsuchoi and Sangmir clinched the second and third positions,
respectively.
- The winners were presented with a certificate and cash
prizes of INR 15,000, INR 7,000, and INR 5,000 for both the male and female
categories.
- The inaugural session of the event was attended by the
Advisor for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, A Panjung Jamir, as the special
guest, where he encouraged the players to play the game with a good mind,
spirit, and discipline.
- The two-day event will culminate on January 22.
