DIMAPUR — The 10th Open Volleyball and Penalty Shootout Tournament, organised by Enhulumi (Yoseba/Pfutsemi) Youth Society, concluded at GMS, Enhulumi, on December 31 after three days of competitive sporting action.
A press release informed that the tournament was inaugurated by Eyiewe Sekhamo, proprietor of ES Entreprise, who attended as the inaugural guest. Organised under the aegis of the Called Group of Enhulumi Baptist Church, the tournament was initiated to foster fellowship among the youth while addressing social concerns such as alcohol abuse and disruptive behaviour.
This year’s edition featured 14 volleyball teams, comprising eight men’s teams and six women’s teams, along with 10 men’s teams competing in the penalty shootout category.

In the women’s volleyball final, Students Union emerged champions after defeating Kepero. The Students Union also claimed the men’s penalty shootout title, edging past Kapfomi in a closely fought final.
In the men’s volleyball category, Youth Amigos successfully defended their title with a victory over Lezhimehu in an exciting final match.
