The 10th Nagaland Shooting Championship 2025 will be held from July 22 to 26 in Dimapur, following NRAI guidelines.

DIMAPUR — The 10th Nagaland Shooting Championship 2025 in small-bore rifle and pistol events will be held from July 22 to the 26th at the Aries Sports Complex Shooting Ranges, Bamunpukhuri-I, Dimapur.

The championship will be organised by the Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Academy, Khelo India Centre, Dimapur, and conducted by the Nagaland Rifle Association in accordance with the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) Matchbook 2024 rules and regulations, according to an update.

It was mentioned that participation is open to registered shooters of affiliated district rifle associations, clubs, or academies. Entries will be accepted only from the respective district associations, clubs, or academies.

Entries will be accepted only through NRAI’s online system; no paper entries will be accepted. Shooters are required to visit the NRAI website, thenrai.org, to file their entries and make online payment of the entry fee. Online entries with the normal fee will be accepted until 6:30 pm on July 18. Late entries with triple the entry fee will be accepted until 6:30 pm on July 20.

Shooters who have not received or applied for their shooter ID number must visit the NRAI website to check their status or apply for their shooter ID number. Shooters already in possession of a shooter ID are not required to apply for a new registration, and entries will be accepted based on the existing registration.

There will be different categories. Juniors are 21 years old (born in 2004 or later), Youth are 19 years or below (born in 2006 or later), and sub-youth are 16 years or below (born in 2009 or later). Masters are between 45 and 60 years old (born between 1965 and 1980), Senior Masters are between 61 and 70 years old (born between 1955 and 1964), and Super Masters are 71 years and above (born in 1954 or earlier).

The protest fee is INR 200, and if an appeal is filed with the Jury of Appeal, the fee is INR 500. The fee will be returned if the protest is upheld and retained by the organisers if the protest is rejected. In case of non-participation by competitors after submission of their entries, the entry fee will not be refunded.

Shooters below the age of 12 years are not allowed to participate in firearm events during this championship. Medals will be awarded as follows: three medals where there are a minimum of four entries, two medals where there are a minimum of three entries, and one medal where there are a minimum of two entries. No medal will be awarded in the case of a single entry. Foreign nationals may be awarded souvenirs. Shooters in the Master, Senior Master, and Super Master categories are exempted.
