106 students attend Nexxt Gen Medicos-cum-NEET farewell in Dimapur with universities showcasing courses, scholarships and opportunities.

DIMAPUR — A total of 106 students participated in the Nexxt Gen Medicos-cum-NEET farewell organised by Nexxt Education, providing a platform for aspirants to explore career and academic opportunities.
The event was held at Hotel Acacia, Dimapur, on Friday.
Addressing a press conference, representatives from participating institutions, namely Gulzar Group of Institutes (Ludhiana), Geeta University (Panipat, Delhi NCR), Dayanand Sagar University (Bangalore), and Desh Bhagat University (Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab) shared details of their programmes, facilities, and student opportunities.
The Gulzar Group of Institutes, a NAAC A+ accredited institution located along the Ludhiana–Delhi National Highway, highlighted its courses in Data Science, Cyber Security, and Blockchain.

The institute hosts over 5,500 students, including more than 500 from the Northeast, and reported a highest placement package of INR 72 lakh, with over 500 companies visiting for recruitment.
Sanjay Sharma, representing Geeta University, announced special scholarships for Nagaland students, including 100% scholarships for three students, 50% for five, and 30% for another five.
He informed that no entrance test or specific academic percentage is required, apart from a recommendation from an MLA or MP or Education department and maintaining 80% attendance.
He added that the university records 60–80% placements, with the highest package at INR 40 lakh per annum.
Dayanand Sagar University, established in 2014 and recognised by the UGC, is a NAAC A+ accredited institution with four campuses in Bangalore.
It offers programmes in Medicine, Engineering, and Applied Sciences, with a focus on emerging fields such as AI, Data Science, and Cybersecurity, alongside strong industry collaborations and hands-on learning facilities.
Desh Bhagat University, also NAAC A+ accredited and ranked among the top 5% in India with a global ranking of 970, offers over 200 programmes across multiple disciplines.
With more than 12,000 students from over 30 countries, it emphasises innovation and entrepreneurship, along with a unique product-based PhD model.
The university also offers scholarships for girls under its Shakti programme and has over 500 students from the Northeast.
The universities further highlighted their open and distance learning (ODL) and online programmes and addressing student welfare concerns, officials assured that effective grievance redressal systems, including helplines and online portals, are in place to resolve issues promptly in line with UGC guidelines.
