Another NPF MLA who had been with Noke Wangnao and Kaito Aye group has reportedly escaped from the dissident camp and joined with the camp of Chief Minister TR Zeliang. Sources revealed that the 20 dissident MLAs had come to Kohima to attend the 8th session of the 12th Nagaland Legislative Assembly and were camped at Hotel Vivor.
However, MLA Shetoyi escaped from the camp last night after more than two-months being in the dissident camp and returned to TR Zeliang fold. Shetoyi reportedly did not even attend the session today, sources said.
Sources from the dissident camp confirmed that Shetoyi had left the camp last night. Sources in NPF led by Noke Wangnao said that habitual defectors cannot be stopped.
Mention may be made here that 22 NPF legislators openly revolted against the leadership of TR Zeliang on January 5 and started camping at Sovima Camp.
It was MLA Deo Nukhu switched side and returned to TR camp on January 21 followed by MLA Dr. Benjongliba on February 16.
