1 Covid case detected in Dimapur; patient under home isolation

DIMAPUR — The Department of Health & Family Welfare on Monday confirmed the detection of a Covid-19 positive case in Dimapur.

“The patient is mildly symptomatic and presently in home isolation and monitored,” it stated in a press release.

It reminded that the currently circulating variants of Covid-19 are mild in nature and cause illness with symptoms such as fever, cough, and sore throat, “which usually subsides on its own.”

In light of the detection, the department has advised the public not to panic and to continue adhering to Covid-19 appropriate behaviours.
