Wildlife conservation message reaches Songlhuh

[caption id="attachment_226206" align="alignnone" width="550"] Assam Rifles personnel and public of Songlhuh pose for a group photo after an awareness programme on conservation of wildlife.[/caption] Dimapur, Jan. 5 (EMN): Songlhuh youth and students’ union (SYSU), in collaboration with Jalukie battalion of the Assam Rifles, has undertaken an initiative to educate the locals on wildlife conservation. Message was conveyed in simple and layman language to the villagers in which SYSU members helped in translation for better understanding. SYSU member Richard Singson stated that people from all age groups have attended the lecture and pledged towards conservation of wildlife. He added that the elders and village authorities have also pledged to control the hunting habits in the village. Officer from the Assam Rifles had emphasised to take timely measures to save wildlife and environment for the coming generations. The release further stated that SYSU and villagers were benefitted from the lecture which was taught in layman terms.
