DIMAPUR — The department of Commerce at Unity College organised its inter-collegiate (regional level) commerce and management festival, Commvanza 2024, on March 2 on the theme ‘Commerce convergence: bridging traditions with technology’.
According to a press release, the events of the festival included ‘The Entrepreneur’, ‘Quiz-O-Mania’, group discussion, ‘Turncoat’, ‘Shutterbug’, and ‘Mr. & Ms. Commvanza’.
Kangzang Zeliang, proprietor of BCSS Construction and Solutions and founder and CEO of Zeliang Codetech Pvt. Ltd., as well as a co-founder and the operations head of Autocion Pvt. Ltd., attended the festival as a special guest and served as the judge for the Turncoat event.
The other judges for the events were Sheyetoli Awomi, founder of Amira School of Math in Dimapur; Letminthang Kipgen, photographer and videographer at Trivisuals Studio and president of Photography Club Dimapur; Sarita Agarwal, assistant professor of Finance at Indira School of Business Studies PGDM in Pune; and Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bordoloi, assistant professor at the School of Management Studies, Nagaland University, who also was the quiz master.
A total of 15 colleges across Nagaland and Assam participated in the festival, with representation from Don Bosco College Diphu, Assam; St. Joseph's College (Autonomous) Jakhama; C-Edge College; Eastern Christian College; Patkai Christian College; St. Joseph University; MGM College; Tetso College; Livingstone Foundation International College; SD Jain Girls College; City College of Arts and Commerce; Public College; ICFAI University; North East Christian University; and Unity College.
C-Edge College, Dimapur, emerged as the overall winner, with Tetso College coming in second.
