DIMAPUR — Thilixü Village Baptist Church celebrated its golden jubilee on Feb. 18, with minister for PHED and Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi addressing the congregation.
The minister said that he was blessed beyond measure to be part of a historic day and mentioned that God's presence has always been constant, an update stated.
Jacob went on to state that the Thilixü Village Baptist Church is reaping the fruits of the seeds sowed by its pioneers with upright prayer in the Holy Spirit.
He made a fervent appeal to the congregation to continue walking in the light of the Lord and to take the golden jubilee as a sign of greater things to come.
The minister also reached out to the young crowd, reminding them to work hard unceasingly and to adapt to the changing times where technology is playing a predominant role in daily lives. He emphasised on the need to diversify skills if one has to make a mark in today's world.
He further encouraged the youth to be able to give back to society positively and be the voice of reason and change.
On the occasion, the golden jubilee monolith was also erected which was dedicated by Rev. Dr. Phugoto Sema, executive secretary of WSBAK.
