‘State Handloom Expo’ underway at Urban Haat

DIMAPUR: Managing Director of Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd. (NHHDC Ltd.), Dimapur, Vitsutho Nyuthe on Friday inaugurated the two-week ‘State Handloom Expo’ here at Urban Haat.

The exhibition is organised by NHHDC Ltd. and sponsored by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, New Delhi.

All together 60 participants from Assam, Manipur and various districts of Nagaland are taking part in the expo, exhibiting varieties of handloom-crafted products. 

The main aim and objective of the exhibition is to develop and promote marketing channels in domestic and export markets and bring about linkage between the two in a holistic and integrated manner.

The expo also serves to provide marketing opportunities to handicraft artisans.
