DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM), block mission management unit of RD Block Jakhama, in collaboration with the Office of State Commissioner for PwDs and Department of Health & Family Welfare, organised a special day for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Self-Help Groups (SHG) at Kidima village, Kohima district, on January 29.
The programme was marked by distribution of wheelchair to a PwD SHG member under the ‘Art of Giving Project,’ courtesy of Assistant Superintendent of SCPD Salie Koza.

Programme coordinator SCPD, Ashe H Kiba highlighted the importance of accessibility and inclusivity of PwDs, and also encouraged the PwDs to use their platform to create change in society.
Huvostolu Lohe ANM, Health & Wellness Centre, Kidima, also shared the importance of addressing the health of the PwDs.
Following the distribution, a special health camp was organised, providing essential healthcare services to PwDs.
“The event underscored the power of convergence and collective efforts in driving positive change. The Village Level Organisation (VLO) under Kidima also facilitated in mobilising PWDs from the village for the special programme,” the report stated.
