DIMAPUR — Sivasubramanian Ramann, chairman and managing director of the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), and his team visited E-Space in Dimapur on February 14 to meet with local startup founders and teams.

According to an update received here, Ramann emphasised the importance of creating job opportunities and encouraging entrepreneurship for national development, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to empower startups and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

During his visit, he noticed a strong entrepreneurial spirit in Nagaland and officially inaugurated the Swavalamban Entrepreneurship Cafe at the E-Space building.

The initiative aims to support entrepreneurs, incubators, and the government in building a stronger economy through entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on startups and MSMEs.

The update noted that Atsung Sangtam from Educentre expressed gratitude for the support, while Ramann noted that SIDBI's assistance aligns with the efforts of the Department of Industry and Commerce to bolster the state's startup policy and closely collaborate with the five incubators.
