KOHIMA — Nagaland Governor La. Ganesan’s Facebook account has reportedly fallen victim to hacking, with attackers attempting to scam people into donating money for construction of the Ram Mandir.

The ‘unauthorised attempt to hack’ was revealed in an official update by the Raj Bhavan Nagaland on X, and confirmed by the Governor's office when Eastern Mirror contacted the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday.

The update on X read, “There has been an unauthorised attempt to hack the Facebook account of the Hon’ble Governor @LaGanesan. The individuals involved are fraudulently seeking donations towards Ram Mandir construction. The donation request do not originate from the Governor or his office.”

Reposting the update on X, Nagaland’s Director General of Police (DGP), Rupin Sharma cautioned people to be vigilant against scammers. “Be careful, friends,” Sharma wrote, adding, “Don’t allow scammers to use your emotions to defraud you.”
