Dimapur, Jan. 7 (EMN): In the last league match of the Ranji trophy for the season 2018-19, played at NCA Stadium, Dimapur, Nagaland are in a commanding position after scoring 387 for 5 wickets against Pudduchery on day-1.
Earlier in the day, Hokaito Zhimomi, the first Naga player to play first class cricket in Nagaland has announced his retirement from cricket after this match.
Hokaito Zhimomi, earlier represented Bengal U-19 team and Assam Ranji team, where he made his first class debut.
In his last match of his career, Hokaito was out in the last over of the day after scoring 177 runs. Hokaito, who is also a certified BCCI Level-A coach has now plans to take up full time coaching in Nagaland and has already started a cricket coaching centre at Neingulie Memorial School ground since last year.
