PM-KISAN launched in Naginimora

Dimapur, Mar. 6 (EMN): The department of agriculture, Naginimora division, launched the Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), a new central sector scheme, in the office of SDAO, Naginimora on February 27. Renabomo Odyuo, additional deputy commissioner, Naginimora, who attended the programme as the special guest, lauded the agriculture department for taking up many activities in the sub-division. He also urged the farmers to cooperate with the department for success of various activities. H Lawrence, SDAO Naginimora and chairperson of the function, explained on the guidelines and features of PM-KISAN. He explained that farmer having a cultivable land holding of upto two hectares would get INR 6000 per annum in three instalments of INR 2000 each. PM-KISAN scheme was launched nationwide by the prime minister, Narendra Modi, on February 24 at Gorakhpur, UP. Around 50 farmers attended the launching programme.
