DIMAPUR — Deputy Chief Minister and legislator in charge for Peren district, Y Patton, held a meeting with BJP officials and karyakartas of Peren district at Jalukie town on January 26.
Speaking on the occasion, Patton commended the party workers and encouraged them to work steadfastly to strengthen the party for future prospects and development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to a press release.
He said that the Prime Minister is deeply concerned about the Northeastern states and that the region has strategic significance in terms of human resource development, adding that Modi emphasised that the development of the Northeast region is integral to the progress of the entire nation.
For the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, he expressed confidence that the BJP would win by a thumping majority and urged the party to work hard while remembering the spirit of the PDA government.
He assured them of working together to strengthen the party further in Peren district and urged them to provide support and cooperation to the state BJP president for the overall growth of the party in the state.
