DIMAPUR — Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister and Leader of BJP Legislature Party, Y Patton, on Thursday appealed to the Christian community not to be misled by false propaganda of the Congress party that BJP is a Hindu party and anti-Christian. On the contrary, he stated that BJP upholds secularism and advocates democracy, which is enshrined under the Constitution of India.

Patton stated this while campaigning for NPF candidate of Outer Manipur parliamentary constituency, Kachui Timothy Zimik, in Leipung Tampak village under Chandel district in Manipur. He stated that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has special attention for the northeast India and added that the region has developed to larger extent under the BJP government in the last 10 years.

Patton exuded confidence that BJP along with alliance partners would win more than 380-390 mark and form the government again at the centre for the next five years.

He, therefore, appeal to the voters to vote in favour of Kachui Timothy Zimik for the development of the state of Manipur in particular and the northeast region as a whole.
