NBCC flags off two-day bike rally

Dimapur, May 31 (EMN): As part of 150th years of Christianity celebration in Nagaland and to spread the message of clean election movement (CEM), Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) flagged-off a two-day bike rally at Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) centre, Aküvüto, in Thahekhu village, Dimapur, on Tuesday.

NBCC general secretary, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, and the Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) executive secretary, Rev. Phughoto Sema, flagged off the two-day bike rally that would culminate at NBCC complex in Kohima on June 1.

Speaking at the brief flag off ceremony, Rev. Keyho appreciated all the riders for their participants and maintained that their presence would be recorded in the history of NBCC. Rev. Keyho added that it would not be the same again as new avenues have been opened for the upcoming generation to pick up the pace.

Rev. Keyho also stated that since the inception of the clean election movement, many young minds have taken active participation.

A total of around 150 bikers including three females are taking part in the rally. They are being accompanied by a medical and squad team along with 20 full-fledged members of NBCC.

The rally would pass through Medziphema – Kohima – Tseminyu – Wokha – Mokokchung - Akuluto town – Zunheboto – Satakha – Chozuba - Kohima. The bikers would halt the night at Impur and culminate at NBCC complex in Kohima on June 1.
