KOHIMA — The Nagaland Kho Kho Association (NKKA) will organise the 2nd Inter-High School Kho Kho Championship-cum-coaching camp, scheduled to take place on March 1 and 2, at John Government Higher Secondary School in Viswema.

Six to seven schools are expected to participate in the competition and training sessions.

Vikehielie Victor, president of NKKA, informed Eastern Mirror that they had organised the inaugural championship in 2018. However, he cited reasons such as the COVID-19 pandemic and financial constraints, among others, for the inability to continue holding the competition for the next five years.

Despite the financial constraints, Victor affirmed the association’s commitment to conducting the event, emphasising the importance of promoting the game and supporting the players.

It was also informed that during the two-day event, players will be selected to represent Nagaland in the upcoming 56th Senior National Kho Kho Championship (Men and Women) 2023–24, which will be held in New Delhi from March 28 to April 1.
