Dimapur, Aug. 12 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 87 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the state’s tally to 3,118.
This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, through an update.
“87 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been detected out of 614 samples tested. 48 in Dimapur, 35 in Kohima, 3 in Zunheboto and 1 in Wokha. Necessary Contact tracing have been activated” the minister tweeted.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=6]According to the information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 1987 active Covid-19 cases, 1113 recoveries and eight deaths.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 1308 active cases, followed by Kohima - 553 Mon - 159, Peren - 15 , Phek - 3, Mokokchung - 5 and Zunheboto - 62, Wokha - 9, and Tuensang – 2. Longleng and Kiphire districts are coronavirus-free so far.
