Dimapur, Aug. 29 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 46 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, taking the state's tally to 3,851.
This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
"Out of 582 samples tested 46 positive cases of Covid-19 have been reported. 44 in Kohima, 1 in Phek and 1 in Mon. Necessary contact tracing has been activated by our IDSP team," the minister tweeted.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=6]According to the information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 975 active Covid-19 cases, 2,858 recoveries and eight deaths.
In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Kohima leads with 436 active cases, followed by Dimapur-433 Mon-41, Zunheboto-31, Tuensang-9, Wokha-7, Mokokchung-4, Peren-3 and 1 each in Kiphire and Longleng. Phek district is currently coronavirus-free.
