Dimapur, Aug. 26 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 26 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the state's tally to 3778.
This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
"26 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been detected out of 627samples tested. 20 in Kohima, 4 in Dimapur and 2 in Mokokchung. With this, the State has 1149 active cases with 2611 recovered out of 3778 total positive cases detected,” the minister tweeted.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=6]A total of eight deaths has been registered in the state so far.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 566 active cases, followed by Kohima-439, Mon-77, Zunheboto-29, Tuensang-7, Wokha-6, Mokokchung-4, Peren-3, and 1 each in Kiphire and Longleng.
Phek district is currently coronavirus-free.
