MDFA Trophy: SSS Yellow, Telongjem FC enter quarter-final

(EM Images)[/caption] Our Correspondent Mokokchung, Oct. 16 (EMN): SSS Yellow cruised into the quarter-final from Pool D by beating Sungkomen FC 5-0 in the ongoing MDFA Trophy league match at Imkongmeren Sports Complex on Wednesday. Toshiwapang opened the account for SSS Yellow just three minutes into the game before Temjenmeren sealed the fate of Sungkomen with four foals in the 20th, 23^rd, 24^th and 30^th minutes before half time. Sashizungba of SSS Yellow was awarded with a yellow card during the match. In the second match of the day, Kezhose Mathen stole the show to lead Telongjem FC to an impressive 4-0 win over SSS blue and helped his team enter the quarter-final as Pool D chart-topper unbeaten. Unlike in the past matches, Mathen was brought in on Wednesday as Telongjem’s starting line-up and he proved his worth by scoring four goals in the 7th, 13^th, 14th and 23^rd minutes With the win, Telongjem now top Pool D chart.
