DIMAPUR — Mokokchung College of Teacher Education (MCTE) Yimyu, Mokokchung, celebrated its 13th foundation day on Monday at the college auditorium, with Thsuvisie Phoji, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, as the special guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Phoji congratulated the principal, faculty, and staff for their sincere and dedicated work, as well as their vision for the college's future.

He said that foundation day is a day to reflect not only on the institution's beginnings and founders but also on the significant progress made since its inception.

Reminiscing on his own life journey, which included both struggles and successes, he encouraged the students to never stop learning and to work hard with dedication and commitment to achieve their goals.

Given the critical role that teachers play in shaping society's future by educating and developing the next generation of leaders, he urged students to be able to inspire and guide young minds by assisting them in discovering their passions, talents, and purpose, as well as helping them become responsible members of society.

“There is a teacher in all of us, a quality in all of us,” he said and challenged the students to keep that vision in mind as they leave the institution and to pursue their dreams.

Dr. T Alemla Longkumer, Principal of MCTE, elaborated on the college's background, outlining its diverse array of activities, programmes, and projects. She also briefly highlighted the institution's vision and mission statement, as well as its motto.
