Longleng admn. resolves to reinforce ILP system

Dimapur, Oct. 30 (EMN): To review the working system of Inner Line Permit (ILP) under Longleng district a coordination meeting of the District Administration and Police force was held on Oct. 27 at the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng. After deliberation, the house decided to take up certain measures to strengthen ILP system and to check movement of illegal immigrants. In this regard, the district administartion has directed all ILP holders under Longleng district to disposed the old ILP at the DC office and get a new ILP card with the effect from Oct. 10. As decided the ID proof for applying new Inner Line Permit are Adhaar/Bank Account, EPIC card, Permanent Residential Certificate issued by DCs of the respective home district for residents of Assam, Character Antecedent issued by SP and two recent colour passport sizes of both guarantor and person applying. The administration also informed that the guarantor will be held responsible for deportation of immigrants without ILP.
