KOHIMA — Following the success of the Interdenominational Crusade Spiritual Revival and Blessings organised by the Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC), the church held a thanksgiving service with all crusaders on Thursday at Lotha Baptist Church, Purana Bazaar in Dimapur.
According to an update from Koinonia Media Ministry, during the thanksgiving service, Rokopra Mekro, pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) and convenor of the crusade, emphasised the importance of working on saving souls on earth who would be accounted for in heaven.
Asserting that it is now the time of the Holy Spirit, he described it as a crucial period that calls for believers to engage in fasting, mourning, and prayers. Quoting from Joel 2 of the Bible, he said that those who follow these practices will be filled with the Holy Spirit in the end times.
He emphasised the importance of the word of God, which he described as a "two-edged sword" and "fire and water" that should manifest in people's lives, and he urged the gathering to be rooted in the word of God.
Mekro preached on the occasion about the ‘Year of deliverance (Exodus 2:23)’ and the ‘Year of double blessing (Isaiah 61:8)’, urging believers to persevere in their faith, while pastor James, in his speech, expressed his gratitude to God and the organising committee for the opportunity to serve God together.
Khriezovolie Suokhrie, chairman of the men's department at Koinonia Baptist Church, led the programme.
From December 5 to 10, 2023, Koinonia Baptist Church Kohima had held a mega crusade at DDSC Stadium Dimapur on the theme "Arise, shine... And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you" (Isaiah 60:1), with thousands of people in attendance.
More than 120 prayer houses, homes, centres, fellowships, and churches participated in the programme as prayer warriors, volunteers, counsellors, and other stewards.
