DIMAPUR — The taxpayers’ lounge of Income Tax department, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, was launched by IRS member (TPS) East Zone Central Board of Direct Taxes, Harinder Bir Singh Gill, in Kisama on December 1.
The main focus of the taxpayers’ lounge was to educate on PAN related matters, e-filing of income tax return and benefits, tax exemption u/s10 (26) for tribals, tax deduction at source, information and grievances resolution counters, queries related to tax compliance.
It would also deals with e-verification scheme that has been introduced to encourage voluntary tax compliance and facilitates a transparent and non-intrusive tax administration.
