Health programme for women held in Phek

  Dimapur, July 15 (EMN): Phek district administration, in collaboration with the District-Level Centre for Women – Mahila Shakti Kendra, Phek, organised a health and sanitation programme for women in the district under ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ (BBBP) campaign in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner on July 11. Speaking on the occasion, DC, Sachin Jaiswal, stressed on the importance of such programme and urged the participants to avail government schemes for their benefit. He also called upon the members to disseminate awareness for the benefit of the people in rural areas. Dr. Panger Longkumer, Gynaecologist from District Hospital, Phek spoke on “Women’s health” at the programme. Around 200 Angawadi workers attended the programme.
