TUENSANG — In the ongoing inter-district tournament, Dr. T Ao Trophy, underway at Loyem Memorial Astro Turf Ground in Tuensang, the semi-final match between Mon and Peren on Thursday came to a halt due to fog after the first half.
The match was abandoned and will be replayed from the remaining time in accordance with the by-law of the NFA at 7 am on September 27.
The match is set to resume with a scoreline of 1-0, with the goal scored by Arap Konyak from Mon in the 45th minute, despite the difficult ground conditions.
Earlier, there was an exhibition match between NFA XI and Officials XI, where NFA won with a scoreline of 2-1.
Friday’s match will determine which team will face Tuensang in the final.
Tuensang had previously secured their spot in the final with a match against Niuland. Ayenmongba and Beshang scored the winning goals for Tuensang, while Niuland managed to score only a lone goal through Toka.
