DIMAPUR — A poultry farm school was inaugurated on Wednesday in Newland village, Zunheboto block, with a brief inaugural ceremony organised by ATMA Zunheboto block and chaired by Aloli Z Muru, assistant technical manager (ATM).

According to a press release, the programme included a concept note on farm school delivered by Chubatsur, block technology manager (BTM), as well as a keynote address by deputy project director Vikaho Chophy, who briefly discussed the operation of ATMA and its activities with the line department and inaugurated the farm school.

During the event, Boholi Achumi was selected as the farm school teacher and was provided with cash and poultry feed.

Shamator: A farm school, established by ATMA, Shamator, was also inaugurated at Yakor village with Yimobendang, BTM, as the resource person.

According to a press release from ATMA Shamator, the resource person emphasised the importance of fish farming on the occasion and urged farmers to work together with sincerity to achieve their goals.

Meanwhile, on January 23, a food security group (FSG) and a farmers interest group (FIG) were formed in Shamator village, and seed money was distributed to the FIG during the programme.
