Dimapur, Aug. 26 (EMN): Dimapur Police managed to rescue one kidnapped person from Lhomithi colony. The victim was reportedly abducted from Midland area on Wednesday afternoon.
The public relation officer (PRO) of Dimapur Police confirmed about the incident to Eastern Mirror. According to the PRO, two persons namely Ayeka Aye and Ahoshe Assumi were arrested in connection with the abduction. The arrested persons were stated to be cadres of the NSCN (K).
“The two abductors were arrested and a case has been registered at West police station,” informed the PRO. He further informed that a call was received from the employer of the victim notifying about the abduction.
“Within three hours after his abduction, we rescued him from Lhomithi colony,” said the police officer.
