DIMAPUR — The monthly meeting of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), Dimapur for the month of June was held in the conference hall of DC Dimapur, on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, who is also the chairman DPDB Dimapur, in his address, expressed gratitude to all the HoDs and officials for their unflinching services rendered during the recently concluded Lok Sabha election in Nagaland, a DIPR report stated.
“Because of your cooperation, the LS election was conducted successfully in Dimapur district,” the DC said.
He also mentioned that the counting observer for Dimapur had “highly appreciated Team Dimapur” for the smooth conduct of the counting process.

Further, Tinojongshi urged upon the officials to work with the same zeal and spirit even during the ULB elections so that the polls can be conducted in a peaceful, free and fair manner.
In the meeting, the DC also expressed gratitude to all the HoDs for their generous contribution during the conduct of Nagaland Olympics and Paralympic tournament held in the month of February 2024. With the contribution, the district administration could also lend a helping hand to Better Dimapur Team for organising sports week for the orphanage, he informed.
Other agendas of the meeting included review of last DPDB meeting wherein the house agreed to forward the registration of Nagaland NGOs Forum for further necessary action.
The proposal for society registration pertaining to Usutomi Union Dimapur, Alashi Foundation Dimapur, Association of Naga Indigenous Games and Sports Dimapur, and Recognition of Arok village under Dimapur district, change of nomenclature from Nagaland Film association to Nagaland Movies and Broadcasting Industry, change of nomenclature from Public College of Commerce to Public College Dimapur were also thoroughly deliberated, and the house recommended to forward the proposals to the government for further necessary action.
