Mokokchung, Aug 13 (EMN): Clark Theological College (CTC) in Mokokchung launched the year-long celebration of its 50th anniversary on the occasion of its 49th foundation day held in its multi-purpose hall on August 10.
The CTC would celebrate its 50th anniversary on November 10, 2022, to acknowledge God’s leading hands and supports received from individuals, families, churches and organisations since its inception, stated Prof. L Imsutoshi Jamir, convener of the CTC 50th anniversary planning committee, in an official communique.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=6]It informed that the college has prayerfully outlined several programmes throughout the year such as CTC 50th anniversary public lecture series, CTC 50th anniversary publication series, seminars and consultations, meetings and fellowship with CTC founding members, life members, patrons, alumni, churches and associations in different district headquarters.
The executive secretary of Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (Abam), Professor Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, formally launched the year-long celebration, while the CTC 50th anniversary publication series-1 was released by Dr. Sunep Imchen, chairman of CTC board of governors.
The book titled ‘Holistic engagement to transform’ was edited by Dr. K Dhanbir Rai, associate professors of Religions, and Dr. Tsuknungrenla, associate professors of Pastoral Counselling at Clark Theological College. It stated that the first series contained 12 resourceful articles contributed by M.Th scholars- graduates of 2020-2021.
Another important feature of the programme was an officially launch of the ‘Harvesting for giving scholarship’ by the college principal, Rev. Dr. A Temjen Jamir with an appeal to churches, organisations, alumni, individuals and families saying, “If you have two children, consider the poor and needy students at Clark as your third child; If your church has one mission field, consider the poor and needy students at Clark as your second mission field; If your church has ten ministerial projects and activities in a year, consider the poor and needy students at Clark as your eleventh yearly ministerial project and activity of the church”.
