Kohima, Sep. 29 (EMN): The College of Arts & Technology (CAT), Nerhe Phezha, kick started its annual sports meet 2022 on Thursday at the college campus.

The sports meet is a part of CAT’s first Pridora Fest 2022, an update stated.

Commandant, 45 Assam Rifles, Chieswema, Col Rohit Jakhar, graced the opening ceremony of the sports meet as the special guest.

In his speech, Jakhar exhorted the students that knowledge is important but knowledge without character is meaningless.

It is through sports where one can shape and bring out the best character, he said. He encouraged the students to play in the spirit of true sportsmanship.

The 45 Assam Rifles also donated sports kits and equipment to the college. The sports meet will conclude on September 30.
