ATMA Tening conducts training on pest management

Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) of Tening block under Peren district conducted various demonstrations on ‘Insect pest management of citrus” and “Post harvest management of citrus” in Old Nzua village on January 24.

An update from ATMA Tening informed that Temjentoshi Jamir, SDAO of Tening, and Matsungtoshi, ATM of Tening, were the resource persons. It stated that practical demonstrations on insect pest management, application of insecticides and handling of post harvest loss were carried out on mandarin oranges.

On January 25, a demonstration on ‘Disease management of citrus” was conducted by Lily Tungoe, BTM of Tening block in New Nzua village. It stated that the farmers were given a hand on demonstration on various citrus diseases (powdery mildew, citrus canker etc) and their management at low cost efficiency.

Altogether, 30 farmers attended the demonstration programmes.
