DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) organised a tree plantation drive in Hedman village in Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh, on June 30.
A defence release stated that the tree plantation drive was organised with an aim to raise awareness about the importance of trees in maintaining a healthy ecosystem and to promote a greener and cleaner environment. It added that all the villagers have actively participated in the plantation drive along with the troops of Assam Rifles.
It stated that a total of 520 saplings were planted during the plantation drive.
