Dimapur, July 25 (EMN): In its fight against the sale and consumption of tobacco products, the Zunheboto Chamber of Commerce & Industries (ZCCI ) disposed off seized tobacco products worth INR 45,000-50,000 recently.
The government publicity agency, the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR), issued updates on Thursday informing about the event.
The members of the ZCCI disposed off the products in the presence of the subdivision officer (civil) of Zunheboto Renbemo Ezung, and Doubashi and leaders of the ZCCI, on July 25 at the daily market junction, the IPR stated.
Earlier, IPR reported that the group’s members had seized tobacco products from the area. They are stated to have imposed penalties on the ‘defaulters,’ and acting on an order that was issued previously, the IPR stated.
